Taste Meatpacking's Hottest Drink Of The Season At The Lately

Taking Meatpacking's nightlife to new heights, The Lately has opened its doors to the anxious NYC crowd, and given us a hot new drink spot to kick off the season. With a mix of vintage elegance and millennial edge, this trendy bar is a little piece of artsy Williamsburg in the heart of busy Manhattan.

Living in NYC and tasting drinks for a living it's not easy to be surprised, and yet somehow, inside the sultry wooden booths of The Lately, we discovered a cosmopolitan girl's miracle: Grant Wheeler's Everything Nice cocktail. A cool blend of plantation pineapple, Rhum J.M., Ed Hamilton’s gold Jamaican rum, greek yogurt and some hot seasonal spices, this unlikely mix is at the top of our list for spring go-tos.

Other refreshing sips include: the Pohtassy (made with Bacardi 8, banana, black tea cordial and lime cordial) and The Ultramaroon, a rich mixture prepped with Cazadores Reposado tequila, watermelon/beet root shrub, lime cordial and moroccan bitters.

The unique space designed by Jeffrey White of EAU, simulates a luxurious cabin, while also channeling the young hip vibes of the fashionable Meatpacking crowd in its array of animal-themed wallpapers and old-school flourishes. The tasty bites follow, as mouthwatering munchies by LDV include quinoa hush puppies and schaller and a juicy weber cheddar bratwurst.
