The 3 Cocktails You'll Need To Survive Election Day
While we often shy away from talking about politics, it's no secret that this year's Election Day will go down as one of the most dramatic, unbelievable and provoking times in our government's history. So while we won't be instructing you on who to vote for – though we hope you're smart enough to know – we'll gladly tell you what to drink, because chardonnay, aged rum and iced vodka are always a good idea.
Plus, we'll all need a drink after this political reality show, TBH.
- 1 bottle dry white wine or chardonnay
- 2 cups (1 pint) fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup apple juice (or white grape juice)
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 bottle champagne (or any variety of sparkling white wine)
- 3-4 Granny Smith apple
Stir together white wine, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and apple juice together in a large pitcher. For better flavor, cover and refrigerate for 1-4 hours. When you're ready to serve the sangria, gradually stir in the champagne, cut apples and ice.
