Gourmet Dining For a Cause: This Sunday, EAT RED With Chef David Burke

Our favorite 5-star Chef, David Burke is brightening our weekend not only with a new menu of delicious gourmet food, but also with the opportunity to support a great cause. As a former participant of the infamous RED Campaign (fighting to create consciousness and end HIV by 2020) the Chef has joined the cause once again by creating an EAT RED 3-course menu for this Sunday. The exclusive menu will be offered at The Wayfarer, BLT Prime and BLT Steak NYC tomorrow, June 5th. As you may have heard, this year in honor of RED’s 10th Anniversary, past participants are joining forces to design their own EAT (RED) event for one day only in June. Tomorrow, 40% of the proceeds from Chef Burke’s menu will be donated to the Campaign.

Chef Burke has always been an ambassador to the cause, which was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006. Joining efforts to help fight AIDS by developing RED branded products and experiences with iconic brands (Starbucks, Apple, Live Nation, Bank of America etc.), the group launched its EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES campaign in 2014, and is still going strong. For every dollar raised, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match it up to $50 million. Can you think of anything better? Lucky us that we get to spend our Sunday enjoying the best food in the city and taking steps towards a wonderful cause, benefitting the lives of many.
