La Vie en Rose: A Rosé Cocktail Made For The Modern Goddess
With spring in our midsts and the weather finally getting warm and breezy, rosé season has finally begun. In our minds, winter is a time of red wine and summer is the era of chilled white, but spring? Rosé all the way. Of course, apart from the gorgeous weather there is something else drawing us to drink our favorite wine: Mother’s Day. Yes, our mothers deserve the entire universe, and we’re thinking something along the lines of flowers, jewelry and an outside girly lunch – but the best and final touch? A glass of Villa Gemma Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo.
Offering a tasty, sweet and refreshing rosé, Masciarelli winery – a family-owned and female-run company – has brought us Villa Gemma Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo. A full-bodied cherry pink rosé made from 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, this fine wine boasts an exquisite floral bouquet, with aromas of thyme, pomegranate, and walnuts. They have also created the ideal Mother’s Day drink – with the most adorable name, may I add – La Vie en Rose. This fab cocktail is a mix between lime, vodka, sugar and Villa Gemma Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo. After tasting this sweet taste of heaven we’re day dreaming of picnics in the park and midnight strolls in Manhattan roof gardens.
Pairing perfectly with every Mother’s Day dish, Masciarelli’s season rosé and craft cocktail are the ideal balance between sweet fruit and dry, slightly sour earth tones. We suggest tasting with a plate of strawberry waffles or maybe a light veggie risotto or lemon aioli shrimp. Brunch, lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong with this fresh rosé.
Get ready to pamper momma (and be sure to get yourself a bottle too) with Villa Gemma Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo and the winery’s chicest new drink.
