Discover The 'Undiscovered' At NYC's Living Room
Living in NYC, entertainment and novelty is alive in every corner, yet somehow we often think ourselves too busy or feel too unamused to truly appreciate it. Take our commutes, for example, more than half of New Yorkers use the subway as their main form of transportation – though we are usually tired and rushing to get home, it is a big part of our day. If we would just take a breath and look around us once in a while, we would see all of the incredible things that happen every day, in the NYC underground. Each moment there is music, dancing, art, there is magic! We tend to focus on the negativity we see beneath the city streets, but in my opinion, it is often where we find the most talent.
While we are on the topic of undiscovered talent, the team at Times Square's W Hotel has taken it upon themselves to showcase young unknown artists in the establishment’s magnificent Living Room. Every Monday in May, we now have the chance to see our very own New Yorkers – ones with undeniable raw talent – sing us their tunes and bring us back to the purest form of melody.
With an exclusive set featuring the incredible Najah Lewis (as seen on American Idol), Chris Zurich, Drew Angus and John Arthur Greene, Mondays at the Living Room are musical experiences you will not want to miss.
Owned by hospitality group Indie FORK, the Living Room at the W serves delightful hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails from the W’s fabulous mixologists. Of course, the bright adornments, chandeliers, neon rotating Dj booth and modern graffiti on the walls of the space make the Undiscovered musical performances even more mesmerizing. There is nothing we don’t love about these booming artistic nights at the W, and we are excited to share with you the crude and fresh brilliance of these undiscovered gems.
