9 NYC Rooftops & Terraces To Visit This Month
If there’s anything we’ve learned from my years living in this city, it’s that rooftop season is when it all happens. Winter is for hibernating, fall is for perfect fashion and pumpkin everything, spring is for garden parties and fancy salads, but summer is for rooftops, beach drinking and new experiences. Summer is the season when NYC becomes Miami – only better. Check out some of our favorite rooftops around the city and start the season off right. After all, you can never go wrong with a bikini body and a chilled Caipirinha.

570 10th Ave, New York, NY 10036
A modern setting adorned with rainbow-colored chairs and long wooden tables, Social Drink & Food on the 4th floor of boutique hotel YOTEL is a fresh and lively haven amidst the city chaos of Hell’s Kitchen. Boasting an extraordinary 7,000 square foot terrace – the largest outdoor space of any hotel in NYC – SD&F opened only this past month, on May 4th, and has quickly become one of our go-to rooftops when in the mood for some tasty street food and world-inspired ice-cold drinks. The cocktail menu by Meir Mualem and Head Bartender Adrian Grossman, is in fact one of the key reasons why we find this sky-high haven so amazing. Every unique drink bursts with fragrant, fresh fruit-forward flavors ideal for a summer day on the terrace. Our top picks include: The Social-ist with gin (muddled cucumber, lemon juice and simple syrup, served in a coupe), The Wall (a tequila-based rocks drink that’s similar to a margarita, but turned up to 11 with a jalapeño-cilantro-cucumber puree) and the Suite Surrender (starring vodka and pomegranate puree, topped with pomegranate seeds). Step out of your comfort zone and try one of Social Drink & Food’s exotic mixes! Also, be sure to make it to one of their outdoor film screenings by Rooftop Cinema Club this summer – you won’t be disappointed.
