A Lazy Girl's Guide To A Glitzy Glam Holiday Fête
With all the festivities coming up, it's no wonder all us Golden Ladies are skipping around, thinking about planning our next festive soirée. It's only natural – which is why we here at Golden have created a super chic and super simple guide to a glitzy glam Holiday fête. We hope you love it as much as we loved creating it. P.S. We'll be on the lookout for that golden party invitation!
Make A Low Key Yet Ultra Chic Guest List
First things first. A lazy girl glam party should always be trendy, yummy, Instagram-worthy, and sophisticated but chill – which is why your crème de la crème invite list is the first thing you need to consider. Invite only close friends who will be both thankful and positive, they'll keep up the good vibes and be appreciative of your glamazon efforts. They'll be sure to show up on time and eat up all your classy hors d'oeuvres because you're the single greatest party host in town and they trust your impeccable taste.
Those are the Golden Ladies your Holiday party needs.
Kill It With The Glittery Golden Decor
This may be the most elegant and simple DIY of all time. All you need are white balloons, golden ribbon, helium, some gold paint, glitter and a paint brush! Looks super sophisticated, and only takes five minutes – voilà!
Actually, this is the easiest DIY of all time. Just get yourself a classic mason jar, some liquid glue, a paint brush you don't love and some gold glitter.; plus of course, some fresh flowers of the season. So gorgeous! Instagram goals all the way.
I mean, who in their right mind is going to say no to this glamazon invite? No one!
We know this may not look like your typical "lazy girl" craft, but we promise it's much easier than it looks. Okay, so the image suggests we use gold leaf – but because we're not about that life and our parties are usually last minute, we can always opt for metallic gold Sharpies. You can get them at your local Office Max, and while you're there, pick up some pastel-colored paper for your invites. Doodle it up and be amazed by how picture-perfect these babies end up looking. Trèstrès chic.
Prep Up Some Quick & Easy Hors d'Oeuvres
Cucumber Caviar Rounds: cut a few slices of fresh cucumber, then top with smoked salmon paste (supermarket bought) and caviar.
Mini Grilled Cheeses With Jam: place your cheese of choice and a good amount of natural fruit jam between two slices of whole wheat bread. Grill, then cut into small squares and let your guests enjoy!
Rainbow Fruit Kabobs: Slice your favorite fresh fruit, put it on a stick and serve with a light blue cheese dip, peanut butter or melted chocolate, if desired.
Goat Cheese Trio: create your own homemade spice, herb, fruit and nut mixtures and simply use them to cover the goat cheese rolls. Serve on a wooden plate with toasted bread and yumm!
Cobb Egg Salad: chop up some hard boiled eggs, mix with chopped avocado, blue cheese, paprika, salt, pepper and light mayo. Serve on toasted whole wheat bread.
Channel Those Park Avenue Holiday Vibes
There's nothing quite like the sweet sound of the Holidays – which we all know plays in malls and supermarkets across the country since October! Buble may be a bit cheesy for some, but to be honest, that's exactly what we're looking for to brighten up our Golden Holiday Fête. Enjoy!
Stock Up Your Bar
To keep things light and bubbly, a fully stocked bar is essential. Channel those Holiday vibes with seasonal cocktails for every type of party gal. From spiced mimosas to fruity sangrias and rose-infused gin cocktails, the sky is the limit to what you can do with a sprinkle of booze and a hint of creativity.
