Don Papa Unveils Its Tropical Filipino Rum At Pig & Khao NYC
Last week – in what can only be described as a New York foodie's late night dream feast – Don Papa Rum unveiled its first Sugarlandia creation. With an honest backstory and a smooth blend of rich flavors, the rum brand delighted our palates, captured our interest and warmed our hearts.
Hosted by Pig & Khao – the city's most authentic Filipino hotspot – the edgy Don Papa team shared with us their selection of liquid starlets. Mixed, sour, on the rocks and spiced to perfection, every tropical rum concoction went perfectly with the restaurant's family-style dishes and vibrant atmosphere.
Mimicking the lively culture of the Philippines, Leah Cohen’s award-winning restaurant served an array of pork-filled entrées accompanied by fresh vegetarian sides – Green Papaya Salad being our absolute favorite. Between bites of pork noodles and grilled brussels sprouts, Don Papa's Rum Sour came as a bittersweet Euro-Filipino twist on the classic cocktail.
With its bi-cultural complexity, this exotic company's tropical rum is a deep taste of paradise for both brown spirit connoisseurs and adventurous young drinkers alike.
